Ms Jihong Wang is a co-director of the Infrastructure & Real Estate Department of Zhong Lun, a top tier full service Chinese law firm with over 1700 attorneys in 16 offices worldwide. She leads a team that has won many awards and Deals of the Year.
Ms Wang represents Chinese and foreign clients in construction, environment, infrastructure and energy projects throughout the world. She is often called upon to advise on new legislation, holds several high positions in industry organizations and arbitrates for the China International Economic and Trade Arbitration Commission.
Ms Wang has been deeply involved in numerous Chinese landmark real estate projects such as the Beijing Olympic Park, CCTV Headquarters, National Museum of China and Beijing National Stadium. She is familiar with every stage of a project including development model selection, financing, project company establishment, tendering and bidding, contract negotiation and execution, acquisition of land use rights, project claims and counterclaims, post-construction operation, M&A and dispute resolution.
As a renowned legal expert on urban infrastructure, Ms Wang has advised Chinese and foreign clients on numerous projects that collectively exceed RMB 1000 billion in investment. Over the past decade, Ms Wang has advised on projects involving expressways, railways, subways, bridges, airports, ports, docks, waterways, stadiums, power plants and other public utilities as well as water, sewage and hazardous waste treatment facilities. She has also been retained for projects in the natural gas, oil, nuclear, renewable energy and chemical industries and has demonstrated particular insight and experience in all aspects of BT, BOT and PPP concession projects such as deal structure design, contract negotiation and bidding procedures.
An active participant in Chinese lawmaking, Ms Wang has participated in the drafting and revision of PRC legislation including the Construction Law, Provisions on the Management of Construction Market, Environmental Protection Law, Atomic Energy Law, Air Pollution Prevention Law, Law on Environmental Impact Assessment, Renewable Energy Law and Energy Conservation Law.
Over the recent few years, she advised more on cross-border transactions, project finance and M&A deals and has advised clients for their projects in over a dozen of countries around the world.
