Dr Cosmin Vasile is a managing partner of Zamfirescu Racoti & Partners.
He serves as counsel in a wide range of significant national and international disputes, including arbitrations conducted under the rules of the ICC, LCIA, CAM, SCC, VIAC, UNCITRAL, ICSID and CICA. In the international arbitration arena, Mr Vasile concentrates his practice in the resolution of complex, high-exposure construction disputes, but also of other commercial contracts' related disputes in areas such as energy and privatization. Starting 2011, he has been acting as arbitrator in complex arbitration cases held under the auspices of the Bucharest Court of International Commercial Arbitration.
In addition, Mr Vasile's extensive litigation experience covers a variety of dispute resolution issues in the public procurement, administrative and fiscal, and debt collection sectors.
Mr Vasile is a Member of the Court College to the Court of International Commercial Arbitration attached to the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Romania. He serves as a lecturer at the Dimitrie Cantemir Faculty of Law, Bucharest, on the subject of Civil Procedure Law.
As to his relevant academic credentials, he has been awarded the Certificate of the International Academy for Arbitration Law (Paris, 2016), the Certificate ICC Advanced Arbitration Academy for Central and Eastern Europe (2015), and the Diploma in International Arbitration by the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (2012), being a fellow member of this institute. He is also a member of the Young International Arbitration Group, the Court of International Arbitration, London, the International Council for Commercial Arbitration and of the International Arbitration Institute.
Mr Vasile has a Ph.D. in Law, Thesis "The Applicable Law in the Ad-Hoc Commercial Arbitration", from the University of Bucharest, Faculty of Law (2011).
