Gary Silverman is a partner in White & Case's M&A group, based in Chicago. Gary's practice focuses on M&A, joint ventures and private equity investments.
His experience includes representing clients across numerous industries, including manufacturing, consumer products, business products and services, hotels and hospitality, life sciences, and media, entertainment and technology, among others.
Prior to joining the Firm, Gary was a partner at another international law firm. Gary spent the first 18 years of his career at Kirkland & Ellis, LLP, where he helped build its private equity practice.
Gary is named as a "Leading Lawyer" for M&A and Private Equity in the United States by Best Lawyers and Euromoney 2018.
He recently advised Investindustrial VI L.P. in the acquisition of Jupiter Holding I Corp., a global manufacturer of premium spas, swim spas, whirlpool, soaker and walk-in bathtubs and related bathroom products and accessories, operating under such brands as Jacuzzi®, Sundance®, Dimension One Spas®, Hydropool®, ThermoSpas® and BathWraps®, from investment funds affiliated with Apollo Global Management, LLC, Ares Management Corporation, and Clearlake Capital Group, L.P.
Gary received his JD from the Northwestern University Pritzker School of Law in 1986, and received his BA from Brandeis University. He also received an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business, and his MLA from the University of Chicago's Graham School.
