João Paulo "JP" Servera focuses his practice on asset finance and corporate law, with relevant experience in aircraft financing and cross-border transactions. JP works closely with his clients advising on a variety of matters, including foreign investment and cross border securitization. Having joined Felsberg in May 2015, João is the Head of Felsberg's Aviation Department, leading a team exclusively dedicated to Aircraft Finance and General Aviation matters.

Since then, his practice migrated from litigation and restructuring to aviation, a field to which he is currently dedicated. With over a decade of experience in Aircraft Finance transactions involving commercial aircraft, general air service companies, helicopters and corporate aircraft, JP has been assisting ECAs, Banks, Financiers, Lessors, operators and other lenders/creditors in the securitization of assets in Brazil. In addition, the combination of his earlier career experience and the past decade's practice brought to JP an extensive background and experience in aircraft-related commercial litigation, mostly involving aircraft repossession, insolvency procedures and bankruptcy.
JP is an active member of the Aviation Working Group – AWG in Brazil and was directly involved in the implementation of the Cape Town Convention and the drafting of local laws and regulations.
