Luigi Boggio is the chairman and senior partner of Studio Torta, one of Italy's leading intellectual property firms, with more than 160 employees, including 52 registered Italian and European patent and trade mark attorneys and lawyers working in 6 offices in Italy.
Born in 1949, he joined the firm in 1976. He graduated in electronic engineering and he is a registered Italian and European patent attorney and a registered Italian and European trade mark and design attorney.
He specialises in patents on electrical and electronic inventions, industrial electronics, servomechanisms, computers and microprocessors. He has in depth experience in telecommunications systems, telephone networks, laser technology, electronic musical instruments, electronic medical equipment, optoelectronic systems, software protection and industrial design. He is also highly experienced in proceedings before the EPO, in infringement proceedings, in licensing agreements and in managing patent and trade mark portfolios of high technology companies in Italy and abroad.
He is a member of various international patent associations, including LES, AIPPI, FICPI, EPI and UNION.
