Ms Eddymurthy's recent representations include acting as Indonesian counsel for Alibaba in connection with its US$1 billion purchase of a controlling stake in online retailer Lazada, and acting as lead attorney in the merger of PT Sanofi-Aventis Indonesia and PT Aventis Pharma. She advised GlaxoSmithKline on the Indonesian aspects of its global transaction with Novartis that saw the companies complete a series of asset swaps, and acted for Dai-ichi Life Insurance in its US$337 million acquisition of a stake in Indonesia's PT Panin Life, the first M&A transaction involving an Indonesian insurance company to go before the OJK, Indonesia's financial services regulator.
Ms Eddymurthy acted for Pertamina, the Indonesian state-owned oil and natural gas company, in the purchase of a significant stake in Trans Pacific Petrochemical Indotama. She advised the Indonesian government-owned electricity company on all aspects of a power purchase agreement for a US$2.2 billion project designed by the International Finance Corporation. Ms Eddymurthy advised Adani Group on complex financing arrangements for natural resource companies and represented Adani in a US$1.6 billion port and coal rail project. She advises McDermott on its operations in Indonesia's energy service sector and acts for one of the world's largest geothermal energy producers on its ongoing projects in Indonesia.
Ms Eddymurthy is recognised as one of the top banking and finance, capital markets and M&A lawyers in Indonesia by Chambers & Partners, Legal 500 and IFLR1000, and is recognized as an expert in mergers and acquisitions, banking, energy and project finance by Who's Who Legal. Ms Eddymurthy graduated from the University of Indonesia Faculty of Law in 1984 and was a visiting scholar at the University of California, Berkeley School of Law from 1990 to 1991. She represented the Indonesian jurisdiction of the Inter-Pacific Bar Association from 2002 to 2008.
