David Neuville is a US capital markets partner in the Hong Kong office of Simmons & Simmons specialising in equity and debt capital markets transactions for companies throughout the Asia-Pacific region, with a particular emphasis on, and depth of experience in, China, Hong Kong, India and Indonesia. He has been based in Hong Kong since 1994.
David's practice has covered a full range of equity and debt offerings in Asia, including public and private offerings of shares, depositary shares, convertible and exchangeable securities, and investment grade and high yield debt securities. He has also acted on rights issues and advised, recently, on PRC renminbi "dim sum" bond offerings. His practice has included the representation of both issuers and underwriters, and he has acted in offerings by companies in Taiwan, South Korea, Mongolia, Thailand, the Philippines, Malaysia and Australia, in addition to those in the above core jurisdictions. He has participated in many notable transactions during his Asian tenure, including six of the early New York/Hong Kong dual listing IPO transactions by PRC and Hong Kong businesses.
David has participated in seminars and lectured to professionals and business persons in Hong Kong, India, China, Mongolia and Taiwan with respect to securities laws and regulations. He has served on the Advisory Board of the World Securities Law Report, a publication of BNA International Inc., and was the author of an article on the PRC's first national Company Law in the introductory issue of that publication.
