Jennifer Dunn is a partner at Schulte Roth & Zabel, where her practice focuses on advising hedge funds, private equity funds (including mezzanine and distressed funds), hybrid funds, funds of funds and investment advisers in connection with their structuring, formation and ongoing operational needs, general securities laws matters, and regulatory and compliance issues. Her experience includes structuring and negotiating seed and strategic investments, advising investment managers regarding the structure and sale of their investment management businesses and the structure of their compensation arrangements, and representing investment managers in connection with managed accounts and single investor funds.
In addition to being recognized by the Expert Guide to the World's Leading Women in Business Law, Jennifer was named as one of The Hedge Fund Journal's "50 Leading Women in Hedge Funds" as well as an IFLR 1000 "Rising Star" in Investment Funds. She has also been recognized as a leader in her field by Expert Guide to the World's Leading Banking, Finance and Transactional Law Lawyers and The Legal 500 US. Jennifer is a member of the Board of Directors of 100 Women in Finance and is a frequent speaker on topics relevant to the industry. She spoke on "Operational Due Diligence and Compliance" at the MFA Compliance Conference and participated in the 100 Women in Hedge Funds Next Gen New York Group Career Roundtable. Jennifer also discussed "CLOs, Warehouse Facilities and Risk Retention Vehicles" and "Regulatory Outlook" at SRZ's 27th Annual Private Investment Funds Seminar. She was featured in "Succession Planning with SRZ's Leading Fund Formation Group" in The Hedge Fund Journal, and she is a co-author of Hedge Funds: Formation, Operation and Regulation. Jennifer graduated from Columbia Law School, where she was a Harlan Fiske Stone Scholar, and the University of Pennsylvania, cum laude.
