Dr Christoph K Graber has been in private practice since 1990, during which time he also worked with a large law firm in London, where he acquainted himself with the London insurance market.
Since 2000, he has been a partner with Prager Dreifuss, one of the larger law firms in Switzerland with offices in Zurich and Berne. He is a member of the firm's management committee, and head of Prager Dreifuss' insurance and reinsurance team.
Christoph's areas of concentration are insurance and reinsurance law, and commercial litigation and arbitration. He is author or co-author of numerous publications in the field of Swiss insurance and reinsurance law. He is a member of various professional organisations, including the Zurich and Swiss Bar Associations, the International Bar Association, the Swiss Association for Insurance Law, the International Association of Insurance Law, the British Insurance Law Association and the Swiss Arbitration Association. He is a past chair of the Insurance Committee of the International Bar Association. His professional languages are German, English and French.
Christoph has been involved in many high-profile insurance or reinsurance investigations and disputes (litigation and arbitration) in connection with professional indemnity and D&O liability, losses under banker's blanket bonds and fidelity bonds, product liability, maritime and air freight losses. He has been acting as counsel for large Swiss and foreign insurance and reinsurance companies, including numerous underwriters at Lloyd's in contentious and non-contentious matters, and as arbitrator in reinsurance disputes. He further regularly advises insurers and reinsurers in regulatory matters in connection with corporate transactions or their conduct of business in Switzerland.
