We recently acted on transactions relating to refinancing, securitization and issuance of notes including assets/ leased aircraft in Greece, either free or encumbered, as well as on novated and amended leases and transfer of ownership of aircraft remaining registered on the Greek Registry. The key issue on said transactions was exemption from transfer tax pursuant to clarifications on tax matters relating to change and registration of ownership of aircraft according to a Circular of the Ministry of Finance issued in late 2014 and effective immediately thereafter.
Seaplane Transportation in Greece holds a major demand from investors to implement provisions of L.4156/2013 as amended by L.4568/2018 and L..4663/2020 and to commence quick connections to the islands and to the seaside places in the continent of Greece. More than one hundred waterways are scheduled in islands, seaside areas and lakes, part of which are ready for operation and the remaining within 2020. We already act on behalf of investors with international aviation/seaplane interests on the above concern.
