Dr Andreas Rodin is a founding partner of P+P Pöllath + Partners. He is the head of P+P's fund structuring practice area. He has practised in this area since 1986 when private equity activities started in Germany. He advises domestic and international private equity firms on legal, tax, and regulatory matters relating to inbound and outbound structuring cases. Andreas is well-recognised by independent rankings as one of Germany's leading senior fund formation and tax advisers.
He is a member of the board of directors of the German Private Equity & Venture Capital Association, BVK e.V., (04/2009-06/2013; 06/2017 – present), and is responsible for legal and tax matters affecting the German private equity industry. In such capacity he prepared all BVK submissions to the German federal finance ministry in connection with the transposition of AIFMD into German domestic law and the corresponding amendments to the Investment Fund Tax Act.
Since 2004, he has been invited by parliament's finance committee to contribute as an expert to all private equity-related legislation.
His publications include numerous articles on taxation of investments, speeches and papers to national and international conferences and seminars on private investment funds. He graduated from Munich Law School in 1982, where he also obtained a Dr juris degree in 1987.
