Orsolya Hegedus is a corporate insurance and insurance dispute resolution lawyer based in Paris. She specialises in regulatory and transactional advice to financial institutions, insurers and reinsurers and legal assistance in the context of pre-contentious and contentious matters.
Orsolya advises French and international institutions on regulatory matters applicable to insurance undertakings and intermediaries, insurance distribution schemes and life/non-life insurance products (product compliance and product review). On the corporate side, Orsolya is regularly involved in acquisitions/disposals, joint-ventures and portfolio transfers relating to insurance undertakings, reinsurers and insurance intermediaries and advises on the insurance aspects (regulatory and core business agreements) of such transactions.
Orsolya advises various international insurers in relation to the negotiation and finalisation of warranty and indemnity (W&I) insurance policies in relation to French M&A transactions.
Orsolya also has extensive experience in litigation and has developed a particular expertise in the, industry equipment, agro-business and aviation sectors and advises on the associated coverage claims. Her insurance litigation experience includes PD / BI, general liability, product liability, professional indemnity, CAR / EAR and W&I.
Orsolya speaks regularly at conferences on insurance related issues and is a member of the International Association of Insurance Law (AIDA) and the Association of French Risk Managers (AMRAE).
Orsolya spent 12 years in one of the major French full service law firms before joining Norton Rose LLP as Of counsel in 2012. She was admitted to the Paris Bar in 2001.
