F Peter Müller is a German and European patent and trademark attorney. He studied electrical engineering at the Technical University of Munich, the Ludwig-Maximilians-University of Munich, the Lund Institute of Technology in Sweden, and studied law for patent and trademark attorneys at the University of Hagen, Germany. He was educated and has worked at the German Patent and Trademark Office, the German Federal Patent Court in Munich, the District Court of Düsseldorf and at an intellectual property law firm in New York. He received his diploma title in electrical engineering and passed the examination of law for patent and trademark attorneys in Germany, the German patent attorney's examination and the European qualifying examination. Peter also studied mediation for one year at the University of Hagen.
Peter is a partner of the intellectual property law firm Müller Schupfner & Partner in Munich and is, amongst others, immediate past President of the European Communities Trade Mark Association (ECTA, Brussels), former member of the Board of Directors of the International Trademark Association (INTA, New York), former member of the Council of ECTA, member of the Advisory Committee of ECTA and of the Programming Advisory Committee of INTA, and President of the Mediation Association of the German Patent & Trademark Attorneys (MAP, Munich), member of the Standards Commission of the International Mediation Institute (IMI, The Hague), member of the Panels of Neutrals of INTA, WIPO and CPR, and an IMI-certified mediator. Peter also serves as a Special Advisor to the Executive Director of the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO, Alicante) as a member of the European Cooperation External Advisory Board.
