Jonathan Lubick is president of Jonathan Lubick Consulting Ltd. and a Senior Economist to Economics Partners LLC. Jonathan has 28 years of transfer pricing and valuation experience. In both fields, he has performed studies for use in tax examination and tax court controversy cases in the US, UK, Canada, Germany, Israel and Mexico among others. Jonathan served as an expert witness in the first transfer pricing court case in Israel regarding the inclusion/exclusion of employee stock options in contract services cost plus arrangements. He has been named by the Legal Media Group's Guide to the World's Leading Transfer Pricing Advisors as a leading US and Israeli transfer pricing expert. Jonathan's work focuses on an array of industries including high technology, automotive, bio-technology, diverse manufacturing industries, energy and financial services. The jurisdictions in which he has been involved in tax examinations and/or transfer pricing court cases (or Advance Pricing Agreements) include the US, Israel, the UK, Germany, and South Africa. In valuation, Jonathan works for companies in valuing both the overall value of businesses, their intellectual property, the value of shares for privately held companies, and an array of other valuation and business damages issues. The valuations have been used for an array of purposes, including for private equity evaluations, tax controversy work, public company value verification issues, and litigation cases. Jonathan has been named as one of the leading transfer pricing advisers by Euromoney magazine and peer review since 2006, and he is included in The Guide to the World's Leading Transfer Pricing Advisers, published by the Legal Media Group based in London. He continues to be widely published and quoted in tax journals and has published articles in BNA and CCH-Kluwer, and has several articles currently in process.
Prior to joining EP, Mr Lubick was first a principal and then a Senior Consultant with Charles River Associates (CRA). He worked to develop an Israeli practice together with his existing U.S. multinational practice from 2008, and has succeeded in advising some of the world's and Israel's largest multinational corporations. Prior to CRA, Mr Lubick worked for a number of public accounting firms primarily in the US since 1989. He was a principal with Ernst & Young's Transfer Pricing Practice in New York city, and was sent to establish an Israeli US based transfer pricing and valuation practice from 2000 to 2006, serving as the economist in charge of a twelve person team. In Israel, Mr Lubick was the primary outside consultant to the Israel Tax Authority's (ITA) preparation of the Israel transfer pricing regulations from 2002 through 2006. Mr Lubick is recognized by ITA as a leading transfer pricing advisor. Prior to his work with E&Y in New York, Jonathan was a senior manager with Arthur Andersen in New York.
