Jens Karreman is a Partner in the Transfer Pricing and Value Chain Management practice and also works in the international corporate income tax practice.
Jens began his career at the Dutch Tax and Customs Administration, where he held a variety of positions during his ten years there. From 1999-2004, he was a member of the Dutch Revenue's APA/ATR team in Rotterdam, where he specialized in international structures and related transfer pricing issues. He left the Dutch Tax and Customs Administration to join Meijburg & Co. Jens still keeps in regular contact with the APA/ATR team and liaises with them on behalf of Meijburg & Co on policy matters.
Jens focuses on APA's and ATR's and on tax and transfer pricing dispute resolution instruments such as mutual agreement procedures (MAPs), bilateral investment treaties (BITs), and joint audits.
Jens chairs the Russia/Commonwealth of Independent States Desk and the Central and Eastern Europe Desk within Meijburg & Co. Jens further chairs the Transfer Pricing Dispute Resolution group within Meijburg & Co.
Recently Jens has been actively involved in various tax technology projects within KPMG, inter alia leading to development of KPMG's 'Tax Intelligence Solution' ('TIS'). This technology provides taxpayers with valuable tax analyses (Transfer Pricing/VAT/Customs) and reporting capabilities (BEPS 13 Master File/Local File, Country-by-Country-reporting), based on ERP data extraction technology.
Jens holds a Master's Degree in Tax Law at the Tilburg University and is a member of the Dutch Association of Tax Advisers (NOB).
