Piotr Nowaczyk is a chartered arbitrator, a qualified mediator, FIDIC accredited adjudicator, and WIPO expert, an ex ICC court member and a member of the Vienna Centre's advisory board. He served as president of the Court of Arbitration at the Polish Chamber of Commerce between 2006 and 2009 and was the delegate for Uncitral Working Group II on Arbitration and Conciliation.
He was admitted as an advocate in Poznan in 1984, Paris in 1993, and Warsaw in 1994.

Piotr has acted as chairman, sole arbitrator, co-arbitrator, or counsel in more than 300 arbitrations handled in English, French, German, Polish, Czech, and Russian with a wide variety of seats and governing laws applying the rules of AAA-ICDR, ICC, WIPO, PCC, PIIT, PKOL, ICAC Kyiv, MAC Minsk, ICAC Moscow, IHK, HCCI, CAC, CCCF, CCIR, CACI, CIETAC, NAF, ICANN, Lewiatan, SANIG, Swiss Rules, CCP, and Uncitral as well as other ad hoc proceedings.
Piotr is highly recommended for dispute resolution and international arbitration by Chambers Global and Chambers Europe (Europe-wide). He has been named as a leading individual in PLC Which Lawyer? since 2008, and he was recognised by Legalease as an expert in dispute resolution (European legal experts). He was ranked among the top seven arbitration specialists in Poland by Rzeczpospolita (a Polish quality daily) and rated as the 'Best Arbitrator and Counsel' in Poland by Who's Who Legal – Commercial Arbitration, 2008. He was exclusive winner in the arbitration category for Poland in the ILO International Client Choice Awards for 2010, 2011, and 2012.
Piotr is the founder and editor of Biuletyn Arbitrazowy, author of more than 100 articles, and speaker or participant in more than 100 international conferences on arbitration, mediation, and ADR. He speaks Polish, English, French, German, Russian, and Italian.
