Ulrike Gantenberg is a partner of Heuking Kühn Lüer Wojtek, a major German commercial law firm with about 350 lawyers and offices in Berlin, Brussels, Chemnitz, Cologne, Düsseldorf, Frankfurt, Hamburg, Munich, Stuttgart and Zurich.
Ulrike specialises in national and international arbitration, corporate law and Mergers & Acquisitions. She frequently acts as counsel in complex international arbitration and adjudication proceedings under various institutional (LCIA, SCC, ICC, VIAC, DIS, FAI etc.) and ad hoc rules. She regularly also serves as an arbitrator (party-appointed, sole, chair) in domestic and international proceedings in various languages. Ulrike's particular focus is on complex post-M&A arbitration matters as well as on distribution, construction, and turn-key disputes including such regarding (alternative) energy plants.
Ulrike obtained her degree from the University of Saarland, Saarbrücken and has been admitted to the Bar in Germany in 2000 (Bar Chamber of Düsseldorf). She started her career with a Paris-based law firm where she gained valuable experience in international arbitration before joining the Corporate and dispute resolution department at Heuking Kühn Lüer Wojtek in Düsseldorf in 2001. In 2006 Ulrike became a partner and was managing partner of the law firm from 2010 to 2013. Ulrike is fluent in German, French and English.
Ulrike is a member of the Board of Directors of the DIS e.V. (German Institution of Arbitration) and chair of the Working Group of the German Chamber of Lawyers (DAV) on alternative dispute resolution.
