Daniel Daeniker (b. 1963) is the Managing Partner of Homburger AG, one of Switzerland's leading law firms based in Zürich. He studied Swiss law at the Universities of Neuchâtel and Zürich, from which he graduated in 1987 and obtained a doctorate in 1992; and US law at The Law School of the University of Chicago (LL.M. 1996). He was admitted to the Zürich bar in 1990.
Daniel Daeniker has been a partner of Homburger AG since 2000. His practice focuses on mergers & acquisitions, particularly cross-border transactions, and on corporate governance. Other areas of work include capital markets law, particularly equity offerings and IPOs, and financial services regulation. He was head of the Corporate | M&A practice group from 2009 to 2014 and has been Managing Partner since 2013. He also chairs the India focus group of Homburger.
Daniel Daeniker is a member of the board of directors of dormakaba Holding AG, where he is Chairman of the Audit Committee, and of Rothschild & Co, where he is a member of the Risk Committee. He is a lecturer in law at the University of Zürich, a member of the University of Chicago Law School Council, and a member of the editorial board of the legal periodical GesKR (Zeitschrift für Gesellschafts- und Kapitalmarktrecht).
