Mr Biriulin graduated from the Moscow State Linguistic University as an interpreter (Spanish, English and French) and from the Moscow University of Law as a lawyer. Having commenced his carrier in 1973 at a major IP firm, he continued his studies at the Central Institute of Intellectual Property (Moscow).
He joined Gorodissky & Partners in 1998, became a partner in 2001 and in 2014 headed legal practice of the firm.
Mr Biriulin has considerable experience in counseling clients on Russian and foreign IP law, international IP treaties, conventions and agreements, technology transfer and licensing, infringement of IP rights, unfair competition, parallel import and copyrights. He also advises clients in arbitration proceedings and on licensing issues. He regularly represents clients in technically and legally complex infringement cases before Russian courts, including IP Court, covering a wide range of IP objects.
Mr Biriulin frequently speaks at conferences and seminars, both in Russia and abroad. He is a permanent author with MIP magazine (International Briefings), regularly publishes articles in professional magazines in Russia and abroad.
Member of AIPPI, INTA, AIPLA and the Russian Chamber of Patent Attorneys.
