Sergio Amiel is a partner in Garrigues' Lima office and co-head of the M&A Department. He focuses his practice on mergers and acquisitions, financing and capital markets.
Sergio is admitted to practice in the State of New York and Peru. He has worked at the New York offices of Simpson Thacher & Bartlett advising clients in international corporate finance and M&A transactions. He was also deputy director of the Technical Affairs Department of the Private Investment Promotion Agency of Peru (ProInversión) being involved in several public private partnership agreements.
A frequent speaker on corporate and private equity, Sergio has also taught M&A at the Post Graduate Studies Program of the Pontificia Unviersidad Católica del Perú and Universidad Peruana de Ciencias Aplicadas.
