Henry Chan began his tax career in Melbourne Australia in 1990 and was seconded to Beijing in 1993. He has been living in Beijing for the past 25 years.
Henry was the President of the CPA Australia Beijing Branch for 2007 and a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia, CPA Australia and Chinese Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
Henry has vast experience in lobbying with the PRC authorities for multinational companies on taxation matters and is regularly invited by the PRC tax authorities to share his views on proposed regulations.
He provides investment and business consultation and has ample experience in advising multinational companies on matters such as PRC foreign exchange control measures, permanent establishment issues, treaty relief application, profit repatriation, strategy for tax controversy and tax efficient supply chain management.
He provides structuring advice to private equity and real estate funds in relation to their investments in China and providing consultation to financial institutions.
