Fernando Matos, Deloitte Brazil, is a partner in the São Paulo office. He has been with Deloitte since 1982, and has over 30 years of public accounting and tax services experience. Throughout his career, Fernando has led transfer pricing planning, documentation, and litigation projects, mergers and acquisitions projects, and tax planning and compliance services for medium-sized and large corporations.
Fernando has assisted in the development and application of the Brazilian transfer pricing and corporate tax legislation by both proposing changes to existing rules and working with industry organizations, taxpayers, and the Brazilian tax authorities in the development of new rules.
Fernando focuses in assisting MNE's in the development and implementation of efficient tax and transfer pricing structures. He is assisting MNE's for implementing CbC Reporting. He has been a presenter at several tax and transfer pricing events, both within and outside Brazil.
Fernando has published numerous articles on tax and transfer pricing issues. He authored the book Preços de Transferência no Brasil.
