Andrea Lahodny, Deloitte Austria, is a partner in the Vienna office. She has more than 25 years of tax advisory experience, including 20 years at Deloitte providing tax planning services in international tax, restructurings, corporate income tax, and transfer pricing, primarily to Austrian medium-sized and large corporations, financial institutions, and international group companies.
Andrea is the leader of Deloitte's Austria Transfer Pricing practice, and is responsible for transfer pricing documentation projects, tax audit defenses, and advance pricing agreement (APA), competent authority, and arbitration procedures. Her knowledge is derived from working on transfer pricing systems in different lines of business, including the automotive components, manufacturing, food and beverages, computers, and pharmaceutical industries.
Andrea has assisted numerous clients in defending cost sharing arrangements, transfer prices within sales structures and production activities, securing corresponding adjustments, and establishing and documenting license agreements and cost contribution arrangements. She has particular experience in negotiating unilateral rulings (APAs) with the Austrian tax authorities for trading activities in the petrochemical industry.
In addition, Andrea has experience in a broad range of Austrian and international tax issues, and has been involved in special projects, including cross-border transactions, acquisitions, restructurings, and specific tax planning for financial institutions and foundations.
She is a former member of the Department of Austrian and International Tax Law at the Vienna University of Economics and Business Administration, and is a frequent speaker and author on international transfer pricing and various corporate tax issues.
Andrea is a certified public accountant and Tax Advisor, and has a juris doctor's degree in law and a master's degree in economics and business administration.
