Billy Joubert, Deloitte Africa, is a member of the Executive Board and current Transfer Pricing leader for Deloitte Taxation Services Africa (representing 15 Anglophone companies). Billy joined Deloitte in 1991 after serving his legal articles at Webber Wentze, and being admitted as an attorney.
In his current capacity as Director of Transfer Pricing, Billy has supervised the preparation and updating of OECD-compliant policy documentation for South African and African-based multinational clients in a wide variety of industries, including mining, banking, telecommunications, packaging, and freight and logistics. He also regularly provides advice on the implications for South African subsidiaries of foreign global transfer-pricing studies, including adapting these to meet in-country compliance requirements.
Billy has been recognized numerous times in the prestigious Euromoney publication "Guide to the World's Leading Transfer Pricing Advisers"–including the most recent guide (2015).
The Deloitte Transfer Pricing team expertise within the field of BEPS and Transfer Pricing legislation and compliance has led to a trusted association with the Davis Tax Committee, whereby Billy and the team consistently contribute to papers related to Base Erosion and Profit Shifting (BEPS) and have been acknowledged as contributors in the relevant papers that were issued by the Committee.
