Christian F.A. Jacob, Deloitte Switzerland, is a Tax Director at the Zurich office with primary responsibility across Switzerland for financial institutions in the banking, insurance, and investment management industries. Prior to heading to Zurich FSI TP Team, he held this position in the German market since the year 2010. Christian has joined the firm with over 10 years of experience in solely Big 4 environment advising fully dedicated in the financial services area. Prior to joining Deloitte, he co-headed Financial Services Transfer Pricing at PwC Germany and consulted multinational Financial Services clients addressing planning, documentation, audit defense issues on transfer pricing, global structuring, joint ventures and cross-border asset transfer issues.
His experience in transfer pricing includes global tax planning, global core documentation (including EU JTPD Masterfile approaches), and dispute resolution. Christian has multi-jurisdictional experience covering Germany, OECD, Switzerland, UK, and the US on the economics of transfer pricing and tax structuring.
He is specialized in addition in inter-company financial transactions, including inter-company loans, credit spreads, interest rates, the treatment of credit guarantees, all kind of derivatives (including total return swaps), various intercompany fees, insurance premia, commissions, as well as royalty modelling and cost sharing analyses related to intangible property, and cost allocation studies.
Christian regularly publishes articles in specialist publications and is a frequent speaker at seminars and conventions discussing transfer pricing related topics. Christian frequently lectures on transfer pricing at professional conferences in Germany, Europe, and the Americas.
Christian earned his Master of Business Administration (Dipl-Kfm. Univ.) in 1999 at University of Regensburg.
