Firdaus Asikin has more than 34 years of professional experience in audit and tax, including two years with a Big Four accounting firm in Melbourne, Australia. Twenty one years of this experience have been as tax partner/leader. Firdaus worked as a tax partner in all of the Big Four firms in Indonesia before joining Deloitte Indonesia's tax practice in January 2008 as managing partner.
In his long and distinguished career, Firdaus has served many large global multinationals and Indonesian national enterprises. His advisory roles have covered a broad range of tax services, including tax dispute/tax audit resolution for various industries. He is a frequent speaker at tax conferences and seminars in Indonesia and other Southeast Asian countries. In 2009, he was listed in the International Tax Review's World Tax Survey as one of the leading individual advisers in Indonesia. He was also nominated as one of the World's Leading Tax Advisers in 2011 and 2012 Expert Guides published by Legal Media Group.
He has recently been nominated as a member of the Consultative Board of the Indonesian Tax Accountants Compartment, which is a professional Association with the Indonesian Institute of Accountants for the period of 2014-2016.
Firdaus is one of the founders of the Indonesian Association of Receivers and Administrators and a member of the International Fiscal Association. From 1996 to 1998, he was the head of the tax committee of the Indonesian Public Accountants Association. He graduated from the University of Indonesia's School of Economics with a major in accountancy.
