Rafal Golaj, Deloitte UK, is a director in the London office. He has over 15 years of professional experience with transfer pricing projects.
Rafal focuses primarily on delivering practical transfer pricing solutions for multinationals operating in the consumer business and other industries. He has been involved in numerous transfer pricing projects covering, among others, value chain management, analysing interaction between transfer pricing and other transactional taxes, cost sharing and cost contribution arrangements, IP valuation considering the latest BEPS developments, application of contribution analysis for purposes of implementing profit split solutions, PE risk analysis, and profit attribution issues. Most of these projects involved a detailed design of transfer pricing policies and documenting intercompany transactions on a multicountry level. Rafal has also been involved in negotiating successful advance pricing agreements (APAs) and mutual agreement procedures (MAPs).
Rafal is involved in projects covering operational transfer pricing issues to help clients implement and monitor their transfer pricing policies successfully. This includes designing procedures for the efficient identification, gathering, and preparation of data for transfer pricing calculations; the development of transfer pricing calculation procedures, including year-end true ups; and the development of robust calculation evidence.
Rafal is involved in facilitating and delivering various training sessions to transfer pricing practitioners in the UK and Europe.
Rafal has an MA in economics from the Warsaw School of Economics and an MBA from the University of Minnesota.
