Janne Juusela is a partner and head of tax practice at Borenius Attorneys Ltd., one of the top firms in the field of tax law in Finland. With 20 years of experience, Janne advises on domestic and international tax matters in corporate and personal income taxation. Janne specialises in tax issues related to mergers and acquisitions, corporate restructurings, tax litigation, transfer pricing and international tax law. He has been ranked as one of the leading tax advisors in Finland.
Prior to joining Borenius Attorneys Ltd., in 2005, Janne worked as a tax manager at a Big 4 firm. Prior to that, he worked for the Finnish Ministry of Finance preparing both domestic tax laws and EU tax directives.
Janne holds a Doctor of Laws degree, having written his doctoral thesis on international tax law in 1998. He has also authored books on tax law and published several articles in Finnish and international publications. Janne is co-author of the renowned "Corporate taxation I-II".
He also lectures regularly on tax-related issues. Janne is a member of the board of the Finnish branch of the International Fiscal Association (IFA), and he is an adjunct professor of tax law at the University of Helsinki.
