Aylin Güney King is a partner in Bonnard Lawson's dispute resolution group in Geneva. Her main area of expertise is complex commercial disputes involving contractual, banking and corporate matters. She also developed a strong practice in freezing injunction proceedings and enforcement of foreign decisions and arbitral awards.
Aylin regularly advises and represents individuals and corporate entities before cantonal and federal authorities and courts, including the Swiss Supreme Court, as well as arbitral tribunals, in civil and criminal proceedings with international ramifications.
Being fluent in Turkish and having worked for a leading law firm in Istanbul, Aylin also represents Turkish conglomerates, companies and individuals in a broad range of commercial disputes.
Some examples of Aylin's work include acting for: a multinational company in a dispute against a major buyer active in the automotive industry; a leading European bank in a dispute arising out of an agreement related to the development of a commodity index; a major asset manager in a law suit brought by multiple high net worth individuals; a foreign state in the framework of freezing injunction proceedings in Switzerland.
Aylin is admitted to the Swiss Bar and the New York State Bar. She graduated from the University of Geneva in 2007 and obtained an LL.M. at Columbia Law School in New York in 2011. She has nearly 10 years' experience working in the dispute resolution groups of leading law firms in Geneva and Istanbul. Her working languages are French, English and Turkish.
