Nigel is a Partner Baker McKenzie's London Tax Department. Nigel is part of the transfer pricing team and leads the Disputes and Valuations practices. Nigel joined Baker McKenzie in 2009 having previously worked in EY's transfer pricing team for nearly 10 years, where he led the team's intangibles group.
Specializing in transfer pricing, disputes and valuations, Nigel has experience of global transfer pricing for a multitude of clients in a range of different industries, focusing on the design and defense of transfer pricing policies. Nigel has advised on a large number and range of audits and APAs over the past 17 years which has included the negotiation of unilateral and bilateral APAs and advising on the transfer pricing and wider tax aspects of a large number of UK and multilateral disputes. Nigel recently assisted a number of global multinationals with transfer pricing arrangements for intellectual property and product transactions as part of APAs with the UK, the US, Australia, Switzerland, Germany and France.
During his career, Nigel has focused on intellectual property transactions and their pricing across a range of industries including FMCG, technology and oil. Additionally, Nigel has helped clients to implement a number of business re-structuring arrangements with tax effective transfer pricing designs.
Nigel has authored numerous publications and articles, focusing primarily on the transfer pricing of intangible assets and intercompany financing.
