Eric S Robinson is a member of the firm's corporate department, focusing principally on corporate mergers and acquisitions. He specializes in negotiating hostile takeovers, spin-offs, proxy contests and advising boards of directors on takeover defense and corporate governance matters.
Mr Robinson received his AB from Harvard College, a JD from Yale Law School and a MBA from Yale Management School. He joined the firm in 1983 and became a partner in 1990. He is the author of articles on takeover tactics, SEC rules regarding public offerings and tender offers, and audit committee guidelines that have been published in The Business Lawyer, World Securities Law Report, International Financial Law Review and other legal journals.
He is a frequent speaker at legal conferences on the above topics. Mr Robinson is a visiting lecturer in Law at Yale Law School, where he teaches a course on mergers and acquisitions, and is a member of the Board of Advisors at Yale Law School Center for the Study of Corporate Law.
