Christoph Liebscher specializes in all areas of arbitration. He has been involved in arbitrations as counsel and arbitrator in many jurisdictions, including the Czech and Slovak Republics, Hungary, France, Poland, Russia, Serbia and Montenegro, Bulgaria, Romania, Uzbekistan, Germany, England, Switzerland and Liechtenstein. He has more than 20 years of experience in domestic/international commercial arbitration and litigation in the English, German and French languages.
Mr Liebscher has published numerous books and articles on arbitration and business law. He is also a member of the ICC International Court of Arbitration, the ICC Commission on International Arbitration and the LCIA, among other professional bodies, and he was a member of the expert group for the reform of the Austrian Arbitration Act. He is listed as an arbitrator with the international arbitral centres of several economic chambers in central Europe. Christoph Liebscher is currently president of the Austrian Arbitration Association.
Christoph Liebscher received a doctorate from the University of Vienna in 1979 and completed a postgraduate programme at Insead (Fontainebleau). He worked in management positions in Germany, France, the former Czechoslovakia, Poland and other European countries before returning to the practice of law.
